"Purchased these for my son (age 7) for ski club through school. They seem to last well and he does not complain about cold feet. The only drawback is that they seem narrow. He does have wide feet (and their is no wide option), but even with the size up he complains that his toes feel pinched. If your child doesn't have wide feet you would probably not encounter this problem. Also I find that they could be a little bit taller. He tends to frequently get snow into his boot even when his snow pants are pulled down. I find that I do not have the same problem with my ski boots which are a different brand and a bit taller. On the positive side they are easy for him to get on and off by himself. "
