northwest avalanche center
The Northwest Avalanche Center (NWAC) is a collaborative effort between the US Forest Service Northwest Avalanche Center and the non-profit Northwest Avalanche Center, registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. The mission of NWAC is to save lives and reduce the impacts of avalanches on recreation, industry and transportation in the Cascade and Olympic Mountains of Washington and northern Oregon through mountain weather and avalanche forecasting, data collection and education.
Mazamas
Founded in 1894 on the summit of Mt. Hood, the Mazamas is a nonprofit mountaineering education organization located in Portland, Oregon. The Mazamas offer over 700 hikes and 350 climbs annually. A variety of classes and activities are offered for every skill and fitness level and are open to both members and nonmembers. The Mazamas promotes climbing, responsible recreation, and conservation values through outdoor education, advocacy, and outreach

Timberline Lodge & ski resort
Constructed in 1937, Timberline Lodge stands on the south slope of Mt. Hood at an elevation of 6,000 feet. This beautiful 55,000 square foot structure rises out of a pristine alpine landscape and is still being used for its original intent – a magnificent ski lodge and mountain retreat for everyone to enjoy. Legendary and awe-inspiring, it's a tribute to the rugged spirit of the Pacific Northwest. Declared a National Historic Landmark in 1977, Timberline Lodge is one of Oregon’s most popular tourist attractions, drawing nearly two million visitors every year.
Wonderland Expeditions

Our capable 4x4 truck campers and trailers were built for backcountry adventure and come kitted with pop-up campers or roof-top tents, and all necessary camping equipment, so you can overland in style and comfort.
mt. hood ski patrol
The Mount Hood Ski Patrol, the oldest patrol in the west, traces its origins back to 1937. One of the largest single patrols, our members commit themselves to a minimum of 15 volunteer days on the hill and 7-10 additional training days each year. We are the only patrol in the nation to support year-round skiing activities.

Mt. Hood Meadows Ski Resort operates on a special use permit on the Mt. Hood National Forest, offering some of the most spectacular skiing and snowboarding in the Northwest. The resort is just 90 minutes away from Portland, and it delivers a big mountain experience you'd expect to travel much farther to enjoy. The resort sprawls across Mt. Hood's southeast flank, the sunny, wind-protected side of Mt. Hood. Meadows' playful terrain welcomes and challenges all levels of skiers and snowboarders.

metro league ski racing
Metro League High School Ski Racing is 12+ Portland area high schools with over 150 male and female student athletes who race downhill Alpine skiing every Saturday during the months of January and February. These weekly events take place on Mt Hood and provide a way for young men and women to socialize, compete and generally enjoy the snow sport of ski racing. You need not be an experienced racer but rather a recreational skier with a passion for snow. Come join us!
oregon interscholastic snowboard association
The OISA is committed to the development of high school snowboarders of all levels in the state of Oregon (and Southwest Washington). Team development and competitive events work to build individual achievement in an inclusive atmosphere that fosters long lasting bonds with teammates and other competitors. With a dedication to coaching excellence, a focus on safety, and an insistence that everybody has fun, OISA events are a highlight of the winter for many of our student athletes.

Chill has served more than 25,000 young people since the program began, working with approximately 1,900 youth annually. We work with social service agencies, mental health agencies, foster care programs, juvenile justice programs, and schools in local communities to select youth participants. The Northwest Cancer Resource Fund was created by the founders of the long successful Oregon Cancer Ski Out to enable individuals and other groups to take action in the fight against cancer. The NW Cancer Resource Fund provides its tax-exempt status to other fund raising activities folks develop within their own personal fight against cancer.
