Founded in 1974, Oregon Wild (formerly the Oregon Natural Resources Council or ONRC) has been instrumental in securing permanent legislative protection for some of Oregon's most precious landscapes, including nearly 1.7 million acres of Wilderness, 95,000 acres of forests in Bull Run/Little Sandy watersheds (to safeguard the quality of Portland's water supply) and almost 1,800 miles of Wild & Scenic Rivers.
Since opening our doors in 1994, we have been inspired by passion.  We dreamed of building a different kind of climbing gym, one that doesn’t just offer the best climbing, yoga and fitness, but also has that something else.
Mt. Hood Meadows Ski Resort operates on a special use permit on the Mt. Hood National Forest, offering some of the most spectacular skiing and snowboarding in the Northwest. The resort is just 90 minutes away from Portland, and it delivers a big mountain experience you'd expect to travel much farther to enjoy. The resort sprawls across Mt. Hood's southeast flank, the sunny, wind-protected side of Mt. Hood. Meadows' playful terrain welcomes and challenges all levels of skiers and snowboarders.
Constructed in 1937, Timberline Lodge stands on the south slope of Mt. Hood at an elevation of 6,000 feet. This beautiful 55,000 square foot structure rises out of a pristine alpine landscape and is still being used for its original intent – a magnificent ski lodge and mountain retreat for everyone to enjoy. Legendary and awe-inspiring, it's a tribute to the rugged spirit of the Pacific Northwest. Declared a National Historic Landmark in 1977, Timberline Lodge is one of Oregon’s most popular tourist attractions, drawing nearly two million visitors every year.
Our mission is to create amazing outdoor experiences for you.

And here’s how we do it: We provide you with trained guides who get you off the beaten track and keep you safe while giving you an adventure you won’t forget. We take you to waterfalls, hot springs, mountain summits, breweries, surf breaks, you name it. We handle all the planning and problems, and you show up and have a great time.
Since 1988, the mission of the Portland Rock Gym has been to teach and train rock climbing indoors, as well as celebrate and preserve our local cliffs and boulders outside.
Oregon Cancer Ski Out
The Oregon Cancer Ski Out is a two-day event for skiers and snowboarders that combines fun, competition, and fundraising with a unique racing format designed to let even novice skiers or snowboarders participate in the fight against cancer.
NW Cancer Resource Fund
The Northwest Cancer Resource Fund was created by the founders of the long successful Oregon Cancer Ski Out to enable individuals and other groups to take action in the fight against cancer. The NW Cancer Resource Fund provides its tax-exempt status to other fund raising activities folks develop within their own personal fight against cancer.
Oregon Cancer Bike Out
In the tradition of our fundraising efforts of the past 25 year's of "serious fun," a new exciting event has been added, the Oregon Cancer Bike Out. Not only are the trails an outstanding, fun adventure: but they showcase our beautiful Oregon! These events will take you into the mountains. Enjoy your ride while raising money for a worthwhile cause. You will get more than your money's worth while fighting all forms of cancer and raising awareness to help impact those you care about and love.
