At the cutting edge of sleeping bag technology is the Plasma from Marmot. Featuring 900+ fill down, it's the lightest and most efficient insulation on the market. Surrounded with 10 Denier Pertex Quantum Fabric, this water-resistant, rip resistant and breathable fabric is as light as the feathers it holds and tough as nails, not to mention down proof so you won't lose any warmth over the years. Its construction is revolutionary, as the baffles run lengthwise rather than across the body moving warm air from your core to the limbs, eliminating cold spots and heating you up faster. Throw in a bevvy of full function features and you've got your new best backcountry friend. Did we mention it's less than a pound and a half?

  Marmot Sleeping Bag Review

REVIEWED BY:    2014-09-16

"Marmot Plasma 30°F Sleeping Bag surely is an excellent 3-season sleeping bag. It kept me warm on really cold nights thanks to the 900-fill down. Another good quality is ultralight shell material. It takes less space in my bag and light.

The comfortable hood foot box keeps your feet warm and protected especially on cold rainy days. Cut wide in upper body is comfy but less thermally efficient.

If money is not an issue or if you can spare some, this is a good investment. Yes it is expensive for its weight/warmth but it is comfortable for backpacking, camping or even for home use. Enjoy!

  • Pros: Compressible, Durable, Good Construction, Good Design, Lightweight, Water Resistant
  • Best Uses: Car Camping, Climbing, Extended Trip Backpacking, Lightweight Backpacking, Travel, Warm Weather
