Armada Skis
With more and more people trading their twin planks for a solo stick, snowboarding
was enjoying its popularity as the cool kid on the mountain near the turn of
the millennium and skiing was on the decline. The sport needed something drastic
to happen in order to recapture its previous glory. Skiing needed Armada.
Hatched from the minds of some of the best skiers this side of Jupiter, Armada
was born to take back the reigns and steer skiing towards a brave new world.
In 2002, ski pros Tanner Hall, JP Auclair, and a few other studs came together
with photographer Chris O’Connell to create a company so focused on its
product, other companies find it tough to keep up. Being truly rider owned and
operated has allowed Armada Skis
to produce gear that’s cutting and shaping the edge of the sport. Driven
by athletes who know what they need for success, obsessed with design, and priding
themselves on being technologically superior, Armada skis now distributes industry-leading
skis, poles, outerwear, and related soft goods to 40 countries across the world.
Based out of Costa Mesa, California, but with headquarters also in Switzerland,
Armada has a global feel for progression.
Armada’s dedication to that progression is easily identifiable in their
skis. The men’s Armada T-Hall skis are inspired by the one and only Tanner Hall, and you
know if they can keep up with his shenanigans, they must be an absolute beast.
A Hybrid Triple Zone Core and AR50 sidewalls combine to give you a super flexible
and cushy ride that’s also mean enough to hold up against all kinds of
conditions and abuse. The women’s ARW ski is a true hero of progress in
and of itself. A trifecta of fiberglass laminates combine to deliver the perfect
amount of flex and rigidity. They say perfection is impossible to attain, but
at Armada, it just so happens that perfection is the only thing worth striving
towards.
When it comes to their technical ski clothing, Armada has struck the perfect balance
of comfort, functionality, and style. The men’s Armada Beacon jacket and Departure jacket feature MegaRex fabric and the
SuperFlo Lining System for ultimate dryness and breathability. For the ladies,
the Kindle and Ino coats are both cranking it up to the next level with a comfortable,
stylish look that sacrifices none of the insane waterproofing and warmth that
Armada is known for.
Cozier than your pjs, Armada ski pants
are the uncompromising ultimate defense against rain, wind, and snow.
For the guys, the Torque and Bleed pants deliver unparalleled protection, courtesy
of the most innovative materials on the market. The women's Armada Astra ski
pant and the Decker
snowboard pants leave nothing to be desired with features galore
to keep you shred ready.
As a family of skiers, artists, and engineers, Armada skis is defining innovation
throughout the industry. Their unrelenting dedication to producing the best
gear a skier can dream of ensures unmatched quality. Catch a glimpse of tomorrow,
as Armada is what skiing is destined to become.
