  Beautiful Hi-tech Jacket!

REVIEWED BY:    2014-04-11

"Although this is a beautiful jacket and just the color and tech features I was looking for, I have to return it. Everything fit perfectly, even the hood over my helmet, except that the neck was slightly too tight to fit my fleece and neck gator inside. I felt a little claustrophic. Even though I am thin, I too have a large neck and head, so it might work well for some people. I liked the feature of the "drop" hood that is not connected to the collar rather than the "storm" hood which is one piece with the collar - however, I ended up with the "storm" hood as that neck was a bit larger. This jacket was great because it is easier to move your head in either direction and the hood also looks much better when folded back and not in use. The "storm" hood sort of pulls the collar down. Anyway, a great jacket!"

  • Pros: Breathable, Durable, Good Design, Water Resistant, Wind Resistant, soft, not crinkly
  • Best Uses: Backcountry Skiing/Snowboarding, Mountaineering, Skiing/Snowboarding
  • Sizing: Feels True to Size
  • Sleeve Length: Feels True to Size

  Great shell for downhill skiing

REVIEWED BY:    2013-03-05

"Needed a good soft shell jacket for skiing. I have a small frame, so I have trouble finding winter gear that fits properly. This shell is more of an tapered fit and is true to size. I am a size 2, and the XS fits well. Very comfortable and has room for my fleece jacket. Lots of pockets for storage, and it comes with the Recco reflector technology. Nice bonus. I have heard a lot of good things about Arcteryx jackets over the years. Now after buying one, I understand why."

  • Pros: Breathable, Good Design, Warm, Water Resistant, Wind Resistant
  • Best Uses: Skiing/Snowboarding
  • Sizing: Feels True to Size
  • Sleeve Length: Feels True to Size
