The North Face Recon is one of the best daypacks in their line of backpacks. The 29-liter pack has multiple pockets including mesh side pockets for water bottles, a large mesh drop pocket, small front panel pocket, main compartment with laptop sleeve and second compartment with organization. There is so much variety in the storage and organization how can you say no? To top it off the FlexVent injection -molded shoulder straps have a layer of Atilon foam for added support and for your back there is a comfortable, padded Airmesh back panel with Spine Channel and PE sheet for extra support. Not many companies can say their backpacks are endorsed by the American Chiropractic Association but this one can.

"Stylish pack that has just enough pockets to keep everything you need organized and easy to access. As a college student I need a pack that can handle some weight and lots of little stuff, but I dont like a billion zippers, the North Face Recon is perfect for that. I can fit a laptop, some clothes, my ipad and misc items and easily strap on and not worry about it ripping. This thing is durable and has padding to protech you stuff inside, which is cool."
Holds my computer

"I bought this North Face Recon backpack in Prussian Blue/Green instead of using a purse everyday. With that being said, I needed something to hold my laptop, wallet, phone, snacks, etc. But it's nice knowing I can use it on my bike rides, hikes, and for weekend trips. It's for any type of use for an active person."

All around good pack

"I use this backpack nearly every day. School, gym, work, picnic, hikes, short trips, skating around, etc. Easy to access stuff and easy to keep organized. It has just enough pockets and organizers. Padded sleeve inside for a tablet or small laptop. Padded straps make it comfortable to wear while carrying it around. North Face stylish design is a plus. "

"The Recon is a perfect sized backpack to strap on while commuting by bike. It has assortment of pockets and compartments that keeps misc stuff organized. Large enough for laptop, brown bag lunch, and a change of clothing, but not too large where its big and bulky. Padded straps provide cushion and comfort while on your back. Stylish North Face design and cool colors to choose from. "

"The black version of this backpack is my favorite. For me the north face is the best usa brand for backpacks that there is. I have a few of their bags and they've always worked well for me."

My Favorite Northface Backpack!

"I mainly use it for work but I'd use it for a day hike too if I didn't already have a backpack specifically for hiking. The recon has been offered by the northface for years for as long as I can remember, it's a well designed lightweight backpack."
