TNF Blue Kazoo
REVIEWED BY: SAM 2012-07-21
"The Blue Kazoo is a great sleeping bag to use on overnight hikes or camping up on a mountain. It is really comfortable and keeps you warm on very cold nights. I haven’t tested in temperatures below 10, but has kept me cozy at any temperature above that. It does say down to 15 degree rating. Packs up rather compact and is really light can’t be more than a pound or 2, so easy to haul around. I recommend."

Good for cold nights in the woods

"I do a lot of low temp camping adventures, usually in high elevations and from my experience you really can’t beat these down-filled sleeping bags. From a suggestion from a friend I went with the North Face Blue Kazoo sleeping bag, which after a few uses I am pretty stoked with my purchase. The blue kazoo is super comfortable and very warm. I have slept a few nights in the teens bundled up in the blue kazoo and I was warm as could be and slept like a baby. I’m not much in to fashion and I know no one is really watching me sleep, except maybe a black bear or a cougar, but this thing looks pretty stylish and a shiny when rolled out. Plus it is lightweight like 2 lbs and packs away pretty compact in its compression bag. It is a quality and cozy sleeping bag. It may be on the higher price side, but I think it is worth paying a little more for warmth and comfort when you are out exploring the wild and undiscovered landscapes. "

"I don’t know much about the technical side of how they make this sleeping bag, except that it’s filled with European Goose down, but I will say this sleeping bag is technology at its best and just plain rocks! It’s great for hiking out in the back country during wintry conditions. It’s lightweight, compact and easy to pack around on long treks. This sleeping bag keeps you warm on cold nights(below freezing) and super comfortable. I feel like I am entombed in a protected shell when I am fully zipped up in this bag. It is is worth the hefty price tag for sure. Another Northface success!!"
