Named after the coldest, cruelest, brutal and most unforgiving side of a mountain, The North Face is dedicated to pioneering new horizons, pushing the boundaries of what we perceive as possible, and encouraging all to live by The North Face mantra, Never Stop Exploring.
Ironically, The North Face traces its roots back to a place nowhere near any
serious mountains. The year was 1966 when a pair of hikers opened their own
mountaineering retail store in downtown San Francisco. Two years later, they had resolved
to forever change the world of outdoor sporting by beginning to design and manufacture
their own brand of waterproof clothing, backpack, bags and mountain climbing equipment. Throughout the following
decades,
The North Face developed and expanded product lines that now include comprehensive
collections of the most advanced, high-performance camping equipment, climbing
gear, travel clothes, outerwear and ski clothing. What began as a small cult following
in the ‘60s has grown into a massive undying love by millions of people across
the globe who have an unrelenting desire for quality outdoor clothing and gear.
Not many people know, but in 1998 USOUTDOOR.com was one of the first and only of 5 online dealers approved to sell The North Face Jackets online. Since then, we've watched the North Face line up grow, morph and adept to an every changing world where athletes are constantly pushing the limits of climbing, snowboarding, skiing and trail running. Since day one when we started offering the The North Face gear at US Outdoor, we've always been big fans of their boulder proof tents, lightweight backpacks, ultralight down sleeping bags and outdoor clothing for mountaineering. We remember when The NorthFace first introduced jackets and full body down suits for mountain climbing cold nasty peaks like Mt. Everest. Then came The North Face backpacks, then even later The North Face introduced footwear and their line of trek-travel clothing called TekWare to their offering of outdoor apparel.
Now, as we are approaching 2013 we are still featuring The
North Face clothing and just like back in the late 90's... we still
offer free shipping and no sales tax on all The North Face gear shipped in the
contiguous USA. This includes free shipping on the best North Face Jackets like
the denali, the osito jacket, mountain guide, gotham, pumori, khumbu, redpoint,
apex, apex bionic jackets, north face denali hoodie, mountain light jacket and
the rest of the TNF jacket collection. And as you probably know there is perhaps
no fleece jacket in
the world more iconic than The
North Face Denali. This flagship heavy weight baselayer or outerwear
piece is made from recycled Polartec fleece, is abrasion-resistant, and is adored
by all who slip in and zip up. Warm. Cozy. Stylish. What’s not to like?
While the Denali may hog the spotlight, The North Face has other fleece coats that are fully capable of rocking your world too. Guys, begin a beautiful bromance with the Couloir Full Zip Hoodie. This thing delivers all the cold weather comfort and protection you can imagine, weather you’re romping around the village, or trekking through the hills. Ladies, your two new crushes have arrived. You can call them the Osito Jacket and the TKA 200 Full Zip Jacket. The luxuriously soft and caring Osito makes you feel like you are wearing a teddy bear and the intense TKA keeps you secure by intimidating the wind and cold. Either one of those fine pieces of outerwear can be worn for casual wear or as ski clothing.
The fleeces aren’t the only ones having fun dominating the elements. Meet The NorthFace jackets that hate a chill so much, they punch cold in the face. Hope you were never a fan of shivering, because the men’s Crimptastic Hybrid Jacket and Catalyst Jacket banish the shivers to the Land of Nonexistence with an 800 fill goose down. The women’s Aconcagua and Thunder jackets conduct some business of their own. Insane insulation with unheard of flexibility let you run a marathon in the backcountry, or just run errands around town while looking good doing it.
Breaking out of the same old routine, The North Face maintains an unrelenting dedication to shattering the limits of convention by committing to innovation through design. Lovers of the outdoors know who to put their faith in for the most advanced outdoor gear in the world so they can do some limit crushing of their own.
