About Switch Sunglasses

Switch designers created the Switch Sunglasses brand because they saw a need for sunglass options other than traditional fixed lenses. Fixed lenses only work in some lighting conditions, never all of them, and many sunglass wearers need different lenses depending on time of day, weather conditions, and whether our not they are wearing contacts. It’s also a pain to carry around multiple pairs of glasses or use difficult-to-change mechanically interchangeable lenses.

Switch glasses remedy all of these problems with a simple easy-to-use magnetic interchange system. They designed their glasses specifically for athletes, and they make them with sporty and durable plastic frames. Wearers can get a variety of lens types, such as polarized lenses, mirror lenses and prescription lenses. When you remove the lenses from your Switch Sunglasses, you can take each one out individually. They are not connected, so they are easily storable in small spaces.

The Stoke Sunglasses by Switch have a classic sports sunglasses look, and work well for both women and men. With an open-bottom frame, the lenses are easy to remove. However, their magnets are also strong enough so that you never have to worry about the lenses coming out when you don’t want them to. They wrap around the temples, so they stay on your face and keep dust and light out when you’re doing something active. The Stoke Sunglasses also come with multiple lens options, including a polarized or mirror finish and amber or grey coloring.

Another open-bottom frame option is the Switch Altitude Sunglasses. These glasses are wider than the Stoke Sunglasses for a more contemporary look and even better coverage from wind, dust and sun. They have an oversized end piece, which can help hide the thick look that some prescription lenses have. With matte black, matte black polarized and amber polarized mirror lens options, there’s a lens option for just about any outdoor conditions.

This brand also makes full-frame sunglasses with interchangeable lenses, called the Switch Boreal Sunglasses. The standard grey lenses that come with these glasses protect your eyes by blocking 90% of visible light. The basic lenses for these glasses come in matte polarized, regular polarized and matte un-polarized options. People who prefer the look of full-frame glasses but want a variety of removable lenses will love the Boreal Sunglasses.

There’s no reason to suffer through changing light conditions with just one lens, and Switch makes it easy to use and transport multiple lens options. Active people who take eye protection seriously should check out Switch Sunglasses before buying another pair of fixed lens glasses. If you’d rather own one pair of glasses that works in all conditions than carry around multiple pairs of glasses, Switch might be the brand for you. Switch Sunglasses are the first magnetically interchangeable glasses option created specifically for athletes, and they do an outstanding job.
