"I have used the same pair of XT Wings for two separate adventure races. They have been strong, supportive, light, and great in every way except one: the laces. The laces rub on the eylets and have broke a few times. Very frustrating considering the lacing system (which is an excellent idea). I have managed to tie them together a few times, but am out of room. It isn't as easy as buying new laces for this system. I suppose I could buy any lace and thread it through and it may work, but that isn't the point. You pay $130.00 (can) for them. The laces shouldn't be an issue. Please consider fixing that problem or you will loose my business, it isn't worth the frustration. I have heard this from a few people now, and some stores even allude to it. Again, I love the shoe and the lacing system, but the breaking laces has to be improved or it isn't worth the frustration. Craig Lamb, Kamloops BC Canada"
