  Patagonia Triolet Jacket

REVIEWED BY:    2016-07-05

"I usyally buy an XSmall. (5'4 and 120 lb). The X small looked great, tidy and fashionable however I will be using the jacket for long hikes in cold and rainy weather. I need to be able to wear a thin and medium weight long sleeve wool top as well as a Patagona down jacket ( the kind that crushes into its own pocket) underneath this shell and carry a 24 pound backpack. I went up to the size small and it gives lots of room for the added articles but still allows lots of movement. Color is personal but this particular purple is lovely and soft, not harsh. The back bottom of the jacket falls to just below my bum so excellent coverage. The pocket zips are a little higher than on many jackets which makes for very easy access even when sitting in the car. It also keeps the weight and bulk of a carried object above the top of the legs so that they aren't rubbing against it with every step. Excellent hood with a visor to keep rain off your glasses and nose."

  • Pros: Breathable, Durable, Good Design, Warm, Water Resistant, Wind Resistant, roomy enough to weat 2 wool alyers and a nano puff jacket underbeath
  • Best Uses: Backcountry Skiing/Snowboarding, Downhill Skiing, hiking, general every day use
  • Sizing: Feels True to Size
  • Sleeve Length: Feels True to Size
