The Kelvinator Parka by Mountain Hardwear provides lightweight but outstanding warmth with water-resistant 650-fill Q.Shield™ Down. The filling retains its loft and insulating properties even when damp or wet. Even though this coat provides as much warmth as a heavy and bulky down jacket, it is compressible enough to store in its own pocket for easy packing. Elastic cuffs and dual drawcords at the hem keep cold air from getting inside. Additional features include two front handwarmer pockets and a low profile insulated hood. The jacket weighs just 1 pound and 2 ounces, and the exterior features durable 20D ripstop nylon.

"Bought this last year on sale and love it. I'm 6 feet and 190 pounds with 36 inch sleeves. I'm happy the sleeves on the Large are almost perfect for my long arms. I wore this outside during this latest below zero cold spell in suburban Chicago and was nice and warm with a tee shirt and a thin TNF fleece shirt. I was surprised to see that this year it's rated at 800 fill. Last year's was 650. I checked the MH website and they have it rated at 650. If you need 800, check the facts. I'm disappointed in US Outdoor for getting wrong a pretty important fact that will influence buyers. "
