"When the rain starts falling down hard this is the jacket that you want. The Marmot Precip jacket is a no frills rain jacket. Provides adequate wind protection and shields the rain and keeps you dry. I wear mine throughout the winter while taking my German Shepherds for their daily walks, and I also wearing while I power walk while it rains. It has good breathability. Good Price!"

  Water Tight

"What's to say? It's your basic rain high end rain jacket. There's not much to the precip jacket by Marmot. It's a your basic shell, for about a hundred bucks. Very similar to the north face venture jacket and the mountain hardware epic jacket."

  Northwest Must have Jacket!

"The Marmot PreCip jacket is a must have if you live in the Northwest. I've been here for three years now and I still haven’t bought an umbrella, just not a fan, have gone through a few rain jackets though, but the Marmot PreCip is the best by far. Its comfy, really lightweight, keeps you warm with some extra under layer and more importantly it keeps you hella dry!!"

  Who needs an umbrella?

"I was told when I moved to Portland that people here do not own umbrellas they have great rain gear. Well I have been here in Portland for two years and I do not own an umbrella what I do have is this great PreCip jacket from Marmot. Love both my PreCip Jacket and Portland. "

"The Marmot Precip Jacket is an excellent lightweight waterproof shell. I’ve had mine for over a year and I have no complaints. I usually wear it while biking in the rain to and from work and it is a comfortable and keeps dry during the biggest downpours. Also, roomy enough to wear layers under on those colder moist mornings. "
