Just what I was looking for
REVIEWED BY: EYESRBLUE55 10/17/2012
" I tried these on in another retail store but they only had one a half size too small, which was size 8. It seemed like the 8.5 would be perfect, which is the same size as my Merrell sandals. Otherwise I would not have taken the chance ordering a shoe online. I have a high instep and generally like my shoes a little bit wide, with a wider toe box, and usually try on many styles before finding one that fits, so liking this shoe because it's narrow probably sounds contradictory. In running shoes I usually like adidas size 9 or 9.5 (US) and can't even get my toes into a nike, if that bit of info is helpful. I use this shoe for kayaking and needed a narrow profile heel so I can get my foot as close to the hull of the boat as possible, but something with more support and adjustability than a kayaking boot, since I tend to press hard enough on the foot pedals in my boat to cause some foot fatigue. The other keen styles seemed much wider than what I wanted. Plus, my feet are not that ridiculously wide. I've only used them twice, but they feel real nice and fit my needs, eliminating any fatigue. So far they have not gotten wet, so I don't know how quickly they dry. They do seem a little bit snug across the instep on me, but I don't plan on walking great distances in them. They seem to be well made and should last me many years. I would rate them 5 stars if they had just a tad more height across the instep. If you have a wide foot, this may not be the shoe for you. If you are a medium or narrow width, it could be perfect. Try it on if you can! "
