"I like this boot for working in the yard and taking short hikes. Keeps me warm and makes me feel like I have the support I need."

Kayland Vertigo High Hiking Boots

"I'd heard a lot of good things about the breathability of eVent linings, but could find very few boots that use it. Hard to say yet how well that works, as it hasn't been very warm this spring. Read the excellent reviews of the 09 Kayland Zephyr but couldn't find them in stock anywhere. Saw these Vertigos and read they also had some great reviews so decided to try them out. Had never heard of Kayland before, so I did quite a bit of reading up before making my choice. Ordered 4/15 AM, and received them the afternoon of 4/16! And that was free shipping! The boots (10.5) fit me very well, and I like the moderate stiffness of the shank. Appreciate that they lace all the way down to the toe. Makes for a comfortable yet supportive off-trail boot. I noticed on the downhill my big toe hits the end a little, but that means I probably need to cinch up the laces a bit more at the ankle and keep the toe nails trimmed :-) I ordered the steel blue/black color and they look pretty nice."
