Background: A product of Colorado, Sami began learning the ways of the force (skiing) from her uncle who spent a vast majority of his time in the backcountry of Steamboat Springs. She carried that knowledge through university, balancing college courses with skiing and a budding career in the outdoor industry. Soon after college, Sami made the pilgrimage to the Pacific Northwest, landing at the U.S. Outdoor Store where her drive for all things outdoor and unique sense of humor instantly connected with the culture.
As soon as I slipped on the Hestra Fall Line Mitten, I knew I had no choice but to make them mine. I applied the included all-natural leather treatment, let them dry out over night, and was up on the slopes first thing in the morning.

I love these mitts more than I probably should. My hands have never kept so warm and dry on the mountain before! There is no need (or room) for a liner in these, making the on-off process a breeze. The easily adjustable Velcro wrist gaiters fit snug to your wrist + slide under your jacket with total ease. They do make my hands a little sweaty on warmer days - so I definitely won't be using these in the spring.

They don't come with wrist straps, so I did have to fashion my own out of accessory cord and a pop lock, since I tend to take my mitts on and off a lot when I'm on the lift. Those hoppy mountain-coffees don't open themselves!
