GoPro HD Hero3: Silver Edition

GoPro Hero3: Silver Edition is lighter and smaller than the previous HD Hero camera, which is important when you are strapping it to helmet and kayaking through whitewater rapids or off a waterfall. The Hero3 weights in at a scant 2.6 ounces, making it 30 percent smaller and 25 percent lighter than the Hero2 model without compromising performance quality. The Silver Edition is capable of capturing 180p 30 fps and 720p 60 fps video plus 11MP photos at a rate of 10 photos per second.





Unlike its predecessor, the Hero3: Silver Edition comes with built in Wi-Fi compatible with both the GoPro App and the Wi-Fi Remote (sold separately from the Silver Edition). The Silver Edition is both wearable, gear mountable and waterproof up to 197 feet. The Silver Edition captures professional quality video and photos, with increased sharpness over the older models thanks to a redesigned, flat-lens waterproof housing. The Silver Edition has a distortion reducing, aspherical lens and offers ultra-wide, medium and narrow field-of-view choices. The Silver Edition will capture subtle, natural sounds, such as voice and music, and immersive sounds, like sports. It also comes with GoPro’s wind-noise reduction technology so you can be heard loud and clear despite the wind. The Silver Edition includes a rechargeable Li-ion Battery, various mounts and buckles, and USB charging cable.
