Dynafit Huascaran Skis

Description: Dynafit Huascaran Skis

With all the power of a snow leopard and all the … lightweight … performance … of a fish found in the majestic Snow Leopard Fish that graces its top sheet, the Huscaran is Dynafit’s ode to a light, touring-friendly powder ski that doesn’t cut the corners on skiing performance.

At just 1780 grams (177 length), the mid-fat, 112mm waisted Huscaran tours like you would expect a Dynafit ski to tour – fast and light, with Dynafit SpeedSkin attachments built in –and the Paulownia wood core, complete with reinforcing beech and bamboo stringers for additional pop and stability, gives a snappy, fun feel that is still stiff enough to let the triple radius sidecut bite in and hold when you hit firm and icy surfaces. Early rising Scoop Rocker and a tapered pintail increase float in deep snow and the subtle Tail Rocker promotes a shorter turning radius and quicker speed checks. Never willing to cut corners on the basics, Dynafit has equipped the Huscaran with a tough and fast sintered graphite base, Micro Sidewalls to withstand hard impacts while shaving weight and a fiberglass/carbon laminate.

  Does Great at High Speed

REVIEWED BY: BURKS    2012-12-23

"The Dynafit Huascaran Skis have a nice poppy tail. Pin tail with rocker made for easy scrubbing. I think they were best at a higher speed. Really stable and good on long turns. I wouldn't say this is a playful ski, it's more for the traditional skier."
