Channel the aggression of the Barracuda from Burton Snowboards, the fiercest predator in the park. A compact board, it is designed for the intermediate to advanced freestyle rider who seeks out powder with a vengeance. It is one of Burton's premiere freestyle boards.
The Burton Barracuda has a hybrid S-Rocker design, which is basically a rocker style board from the nose to the front foot that changes to a compressed camber between the feet. The end result is improved float and stability on groomers and in deep powder. The Barracuda is also tapered a bit from front to back for a fish like swish as you go. Other notable features of the Burton Barracuda include the Carbon I-Beam for better longitudinal snap and 10:45 Sidewalls for better impact absorption. Frostbite Edges ensure your board can bite into ice and keep you stable, and the Sintered WFO base is designed to hold wax like a pro. Burton did not get to be one of the world's leading snowboard makers by accident, and the Barracuda is the culmination of the company's years of hard work and ingenuity. A lightweight wood core and responsive fiberglass finish are standard on every board along with Infinite Ride for a lifelong standard of performance. |

Burton Barracuda
REVIEWED BY: M ASHTON DAVIES 2013-01-20
"Great board. I've used it about 5 times this season and it's a great all around board. Really stable and floats really well too. The Barracuda is a pretty loose, flexible board and I wish it was stiffer but it's still amazing. The nose is quite a bit bigger than the tail but it doesn't flap around or anything when going fast on hard pack. At least I don't think so. Also the S-Rocker is so much fun. Love this board."
