Burton's AK 2L Embark Snowboard Jacket is a waterproof and insulated jacket designed to combat rain, sleet, snow, wind and cold. The GORE-TEX® shell keeps wind and moisture out, while allowing breathability and sweat evaporation. The seams of this jacket are also taped with GORE-TEX® to prevent leaks, no matter how harsh the weather gets. Beneath the shell, the Embark Jacket has mapped Thermacore™ insulation. The mapping pattern provides excellent warmth where it is most needed without limiting mobility or adding bulk. Inside the jacket is a crisp taffeta lining. This lining wicks moisture away from the skin, keeping the wearer dry and warm.
Other features of the AK 2L Embark include pit zips for excellent venting, YKK® matte water-resistant zippers to prevent leaks and a removable waist gaiter to keep snow out. The jacket works with Burton's jacket-to-pant interface for a secure fit and extra protection from the powder. The brand's Powder Gasket Cuffs are secondary water-repellent cuffs hidden inside the jacket's sleeves for an extra great seal. Burton feels so strongly about this jacket that it provides a lifetime warranty.

warm & dry gore-tex
REVIEWED BY: SNOWBOARD QUEEN 2012-09-29
"This insulated 2L gore-tex coat is warm and toasty. It is not just a shell and does not require a lot of layers underneath. It may even be too warm for spring like conditions. I got the snooker green Burton coat and the color is a bit different than it looks online. It is brighter and more of a neon green. I love that this snowboarding coat has an inner sleeve that can be tucked into your gloves. If your always cold and want to stay dry this is the coat for you! "
