When violent weather strikes on the ski hill, you roll with the Tempest from Arcteryx, a tough jacket made just for women. This high performance shell faces snow, rain, sleet or hail head on with superior warm and wind and water repelling action.

The Tempest uses special N70p GORE-TEX fabric construction featuring a soft warm lining and very supple exterior that is very lightweight and protective yet moves with you, making it perfect for skiing on or off piste. While shaped to a woman's body, the cut is also very generous so you can layer the Arcteryx Tempest over other layers quite comfortably. Drawstring cords at the waist, hem and hood give you plenty of room to adjust your comfort level, while underarm gussets allow you to move your arms without ride-up and underarm pit zips let you release blocked up heat quickly and easily. Pockets on the Tempest jacket include two front hand warmer pockets, an interior mesh pocket and a zippered arm pocket, which has become a recognizable symbol of the Arcteryx brand.

Do not let Old Man Winter get the best of you. Fight back with the Tempest medium weight shell from Arcteryx.

  Great jacket

REVIEWED BY: DEV    2/26/2013

"I bought this for my wife for snowboarding. She's gone through many jackets for many reasons: not warm enough, no wind resistance, gets wet and soggy, is a magnet for dirt, etc. This jacket solved all of those issues. Arcteryx makes a great product. Their stuff is expensive to be sure; but, you get what you pay for."

  Bomber proof

REVIEWED BY: JULIACLIMBS    1/23/2013

"The most durable and waterproof jacket ever!!! I purchased the Arc'teryx Tempest jacket around Christmas and wore it climbing and I was so impressed. I got the black color so I could also wear it around town to stay dry. It's also very stylish in the black that I can wear it to and from the office on soggy days. "

  Good for skiing

"The fit is true to size, the grenadine color is nice and bright. I like using the Arc'teryx tempest jacket for skiing and mountaineering. It's waterproof and windproof which is what I was looking for in a jacket. The hood works with my ski helmet and my climbing helmet. "
