"I bought all top of the line 686 smarty 2 in 1 outerwear in 07/08 and it kept me warm and dry, had lots of cool features and looked super pimp too. But I have to say that 686 stuff just like all the other top brands are made overseas and are crap. My jacket and pants are both completely coming apart after only one season. I would have been better off buying the cheapest throwaway stuff I could find rather than paying almost $600.00 bucks for higher end gear I thought was supposed to last a while. My friend bought all new Burton AK gore tex stuff at the same time and his pants and jacket are falling apart just as fast as mine. If you're a pro rider and all of you're sponsors are throwing so much free stuff at you that none of it will get used more than once, quality is not a real issue, but any hard working guy in the real world that saves up his hard earned cash to blow on 686 outerwear is going to get screwed."
